Nur wenige Minuten vom Gattikerweiher entfernt liegt dieses Kleinod im Wald. Im Gegensatz zum Gattikerweiher darf im Waldweiher nicht gebadet werden. Ein Weg f\u00fchrt rund um den kleinen See. Das Gebiet steht unter Naturschutz. Seltene gesch\u00fctzte Tier- und Pflanzenarten sind hier angesiedelt. Libellen, Wasserv\u00f6gel und Amphibien f\u00fchlen sich wohl in diesem nat\u00fcrlichen Umfeld. Dies war nicht immer so. Anfang 19. Jahrhundert begann der industrielle Aufschwung auch in Gattikon. Die Baumwollfabrik nutzte den Gattiker- und Waldweiher als Stauweiher. Erst im Laufe der Zeit wurden daraus wieder Naherholungsgebiete geschaffen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Zahlreiche M\u00f6glichkeiten<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Der Weiher ist gut mit \u00f6ffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln erreichbar. Die n\u00e4chste Bushaltestelle ist Gattion, Gattikerh\u00f6he. Von hier aus gehts zuerst an den Gattikerweiher und dann zum Waldweiher.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Der Wanderweg f\u00fchrt weiter Richtung Oberrieden, wo er in den Z\u00fcrichseerundwanderweg f\u00fchrt.
